Participants in TSA PreCheck are pre-approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), which means they can use dedicated lanes where they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and leave laptops and compliant liquids in their bags.
To enroll in TSA PreCheck, travelers must apply online, undergo a background check, and schedule an in-person appointment at an enrollment center to provide biometric information (such as fingerprints).
