Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States.
Travelers enrolled in Global Entry can use automated kiosks at select airports to bypass regular passport control lines.
To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application, pay a non-refundable fee, and undergo a background check. If approved, Global Entry membership is valid for five years.
Global Entry members also receive TSA PreCheck benefits, allowing expedited security screening for domestic and international flights departing from U.S. airports.
Global Entry is open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and citizens of certain other countries who meet the eligibility criteria.
Benefits of Global Entry include faster entry into the United States, reduced wait times, and a more efficient travel experience.
